ASUS Xonar Essence ST Audiophile Stereo PCI Sound Card Unboxing & First Look Linus Tech Tips
This is a very unique product. So unique that I actually wasn’t really sure of the best way to present it. Partly because I’m not big into the audiophile scene, but also because it’s so different from anything else out there. Basically if you don’t already know you want one, you don’t need to know about this product.
Test and Review of the Avermedia Aver HD PVR – HDMI Capture Card – 1280 x 720
Buy the Aver HD PVR: www.amazon.com Test of the NEW Avermedia HD PVR which was released in November 2009 by Avermedia. * PLEASE NOTE: This product has only been used for this particular review video. It was returned by the owner (PHT member) since they were unable to increase the recording bitrate manually. The filter(s) for digital recording the HDMI connection are NOT found in GraphEdit and thus there is no known method of recording the HDMI feed with 3rd party software. UPDATE: Using a screen capture program, you can manually record the Aver Media Center Program while it is outputting whatever you want to record on your monitor. This way you are bypassing the limitations (bitrate) of said program by directly capturing what it is displaying on your screen. One such screen capture program is called, FRAPS, and can be found using any Search Engine …

As soon as I started recording the footage with Fraps, though, it dropped to about 20 FPS.
